One of the rudest awakenings I had as a writer is that most editors and clients prefer to leave comments and suggestions on an article rather than making changes directly to the text.
No doubt this is an innocent inclination for many. But some seem to take it as an invitation to make undecipherable comments and get me to spend an extra half hour just accepting edits and making sure they didn’t add errors to the final copy.
Call me crazy, but I’m thinking if you want to change something and you feel confident about the change, you should just make the change and call it done. Enter: the new Google Comments feature to save crabby old writers like myself a few minutes each project.
